I think it went well

Hi!

So I had my interview today. The first of 4 coming up and I really want to get into this particular district both for the beautiful location and the excellence of the schools. Like I posted yesterday, it is for one kindergarten position. I was hoping it wouldn't be a panel interview because those make me soo nervous and thank God it wasn't. Just two principals, one from the opening school and the other because they said there might be other opportunities in the near future. Boy was I nervous! My voice was a little cracky and my chest was broken out in hives! (I hate that my body does that) But anyway, most questions were pretty explicit and I could refer to my trusty portfolio to back me up. A few were about reading and writing and unfortunately, doing math all year, I haven't had a lot of experience with those two subjects. (!) I just answered them as best as I could. I think they liked me and they seemed impressed at times with the materials I showed them. The principal said the turn around rate will be quick so I'm assuming they'll want to hire within the next few days! oh Gosh, I hope hope hope its me!
If for some reason it doesn't work out, I have a 5:30 interview on Friday about an  hour away so I'll have to leave right from school and then another evening interview on Monday and the fourth on Tuesday pm. (Whew! I'll be an interviewing pro by the time these are all done) I can only hope a job comes out of one of these! Keep praying for me friends! :)

Holy Canolli!

Hi friends! So the meeting today with the principal was ok I guess. I had all my stuff ready to back my case up but he basically said that "first year teachers always score this way. You have to be a veteran teacher to score high." and kinda made it a closed door. I said alright and signed off on the papers. I guess it all comes with quantity of years and they dont take into account the quality of the teaching. (sigh) he did say I was a good teacher so I suppose that counts for something.

On another note, I now have 4 interviews!!! Ahhhh totally freaking out!! My first one of the week is tomorrow for a very distinguished district near me for ONE kindergarten position! ONE! haha. No pressure to shine right?! And then I have another on Friday in Vermilion to those Ohio teachers who know the city and another on Monday night and then Tuesday! Yikes! I can barely settle down since I got home and it's taking me forever to eat this personal pan pizza! Any advice to knock these interviews outta the park would be greatly appreciated! :) Thanks and wish me luck!!
