Worksheet Wednesday
Hey friends! Today I am linking up with The Teaching Tribune for her summer bloggin' party.
I have been on break now for about 3 weeks, so I haven't had to think about making summer themed worksheets, but I whipped this one up this morning to use next year during our review. :) Enjoy!

Fact cards and a New House!!
Hello everyone! Happy Saturday! I don't know about you, but this felt like the longest week ever. The days literally jumbled together for me. So glad it's the weekend and I can catch up with everyone AND relax! :)
So I wanted to let you know of a new product I have up in my store. I have a lot of kiddos that get done with workshops early and I have early finisher activities for them to do, but since we are working our way closer to 1st grade, I also want to make sure they are fluent in their addition and subtraction facts. I created this set and all you need to do is print, put them on a ring and have fun! I made 3 sets...one for me to use in small group time and 2 for early finishers to flash to their partners. :)

I also print each fact set on different colored card stock. :)
The possibilities for this set are endless, so head over to my store to purchase it! :)
The other wonderful news I wanted to share with you is that our offer was accepted on a house! If you follow my posts, you know we've been actively looking for about 3 months now, and I know that's not a long time by any means, it definitely felt like one with house and house that we liked getting multiple offers and then our offer not being high enough.
This house seems to be the one! We looked at it and put in a bid right away and they accepted a few days later. So we are in the inspection process and our closing date is set for mid-May. I am really excited! It was built in 2007 so a fairly new house. I like it because it's move in ready (including new carpet) and my husband likes it because the 2nd floor in unfinished and it's going to be his litter project over the next year or so! :) Can't wait to move in and be first time homeowners!

Addition and House Hunting
hey friends!
I hope you enjoyed your long weekend, and if you had to work, I hope it was a fun day for you!
We have been busy in math working on addition and subtraction. I don't have a smart board (really really wish I did) so I have been creating powerpoints with problems and having the kids solve them on their white boards. Then I call a student up to write the equation. Simple but they seem to like it. :)
The other thing we did was read an animal book about adding then created our own addition stories with matching pictures. They really liked this!
This upcoming week, we have MAP testing, which is a computer based assessment. It's good for me because I didn't have to plan centers and they get a break this week! :)
On a non-educational note, my husband and I went out this weekend to look at houses and we put a bid in on one! I am so excited and really really hope we get this one. It's just enough space for us right now, in the country, and also on just under an acre. (I would like to get into gardening!)

Freebie Christmas Addition/Subtraction!
Happy Sunday! I hope your weekend is going well. I am sitting here finishing up lesson plans for this last week and laughing at my husband and his friend acting like children with their nerf guns they bought...boys.
Anyway, I want to make this quick because I have to grocery shop and finish up some baking, but we are learning basic addition and subtraction this week and I wanted to add a Christmas twist on it. On Thursday we are going to play this game and I think the kids will like it. Laminate the cards and gather your students on the carpet, hold up one card at a time, and have them put their answers on the matching Santa. (or you can put this in a center to do independently.)
I've got a busy week ahead....our staff Christmas party is on Thursday and we are doing Secret Santa with each other all week. I can't wait to see what treat my mailbox will have in it each day! :) Have a wonderful week everyone!

Fact Families
Hey everyone!
Yesterday we did some work with fact families. Now we've been doing these since about December or so, but sometimes the kids still get confused. I thought we would review them and make fact family houses since I always tell them the numbers live in the house and no new ones can come in. So anyway, here's them hard at work!
This is a side note, but how many of you are running out of supplies already?! Our kids have practically no glue sticks and we don't really use them THAT much. haha. I sent home a note today for parents to buy more, but really...where is the glue going!? Ugh. Anyway...off to shower and get ready for tomorrow. Yay for specials. We only have them 2 days a week and I'll tell you, wednesdays and fridays are wonderful to get an hour and a half of planning and quiet in. ;)

Getting into the Fall Spirit
Hey everyone! Well the temperatures are definitely not very fall-ish, but I have been getting into the fall spirit for about a week now and Teaching my 3 is having a fall blog hop, so it couldn't have come at a more perfect time!
Can I start off by saying where the heck did September go?! We are almost on our last week! whew! This month flew by!!
I created a little sumthin' sumthin' for a math center or however you'd like to use it. It's now posted in my TN store and here's a glimpse!
Students match the number cards to the addition and subtraction problems, then record their number sentences on the corresponding papers. Please grab a copy and if you use it, tell me whatcha think! Ok, I'm off to do some laminating and then might go out clothes shopping for a bit! ;) Have a great Saturday!

Free Math Menu
Hi! Happy Friday. I'm sure most everyone is off for Good Friday and for those celebrating Easter..Happy Easter! :) I'll be cleaning the apartment today (the guy always gets it so dirty so quickly) and getting ready for some people to come over tonight then out shopping and doing wedding stuff with the future sis-in-law tomorrow. :) At school yesterday, I created a math menu addition paper. I love these things and have seen a couple around the internet but wish there were more. They are so good for differentiated instruction and customizing learning to fit the likes of the child. Anyway, here is an addition one I made. Would be good for first graders or even advanced kindergartners but may need help reading. Let me know what you think and have a great weekend! gummy addition and wedding update :)
Happy Friday!
I wanted to post last night but my mom and I went to a bridal show and I was too tired once I finally got home. Yesterday my kindergartners practiced addition using gummy bears. I thought it would be more fun than just doing worksheets and sometimes they get upset when I pull them because it's during their center time so this gave them a little extra motivation! ;)
Before the lesson, I created 8 stories on my touch screen and then we went through each slide and acted out the story using our bears. Once they were done, they were allowed to eat the treats and we did a follow up worksheet. Overall, good lesson!
On another note, I'm really excited because tomorrow my fiance, mom and I are going to look at 2 halls. (we need to get the ball rolling on booking the ceremony and reception venues) I'm anxious to get in and talk with people. I'm also debating on where to get married. My fiance and I are catholic but we don't practice that much anymore and even though I'd like to get married in a catholic church, I know he doesn't really want to so I found this church in a suburb near us that's really pretty inside and could be a contender. I'll letcha know! Below are two pics of the church. Pretty huh?
