Crazy day to say the least

Hi!

Ugh, what a day. I went through a wealth of emotions. This morning, I had a confrontation with a co-worker which threw me off then in the haste of being excited to see there was a primary opening in a city not too far from me, after I spend about an hour thinking through each question on the application and taking the time, I email the superintendent to personally introduce myself and had copied and pasted from another email to another city...you may see where this is going. After changing around some words and adding here and there, I sent it off. Then when I re-read the email, the last paragraph was geared toward the other city! Yikes!!! I was pissed to say the least and embarassed. I quickly re-wrote the sup and said I was so sorry it was a mistake, but I feel like that may have just blown my chances for being considered. We'll see. Has anything like that ever happened to you?

On top of the chaos, I was able to get a few pics of my friends doing some fun math activities. I had my third graders reviewing area and perimeter so we made shapes with cheeze its and then calculated both. They loved the little snack!

Here, my first graders are learning to regroup with two digit numbers so I thought it would  be most beneficial to use base ten blocks so they could see where were borrow and get the extra tens. I thought that was pretty successful.

Well I hope your day was better than mine and maybe I'll still hear back from that superintendent. I'll keep ya posted!

Ah yes... I have done that before as well. Unfortunately, I never heard back from that position. I hope it works out better for you!
