Freebie Christmas Addition/Subtraction!

Happy Sunday! I hope your weekend is going well. I am sitting here finishing up lesson plans for this last week and laughing at my husband and his friend acting like children with their nerf guns they bought...boys.

Anyway, I want to make this quick because I have to grocery shop and finish up some baking, but we are learning basic addition and subtraction this week and I wanted to add a Christmas twist on it. On Thursday we are going to play this game and I think the kids will like it. Laminate the cards and gather your students on the carpet, hold up one card at a time, and have them put their answers on the matching Santa. (or you can put this in a center to do independently.)
I've got a busy week ahead....our staff Christmas party is on Thursday and we are doing Secret Santa with each other all week. I can't wait to see what treat my mailbox will have in it each day! :) Have a wonderful week everyone!

Subtraction Freebie

Hey everyone! Happy Tuesday. I hope if you are back at school, your week is going well and if you're still at home, your having a relaxing day. I'm one of those at home and I'm going out fishing with Steve today (not my favorite hobby but I'll do it for him) Hope I catch something!

I have a small freebie for you! It's a subtraction game similar to the addition game in the last post. Students match the aliens with the spaceship number problems. Hope ya like it!

Also Please, Please link up and share your finds you got at the TPT sale! I'm curious to see what everyone else got! :)

Dino Subtraction Game and a snowy Sunday

So I made this game last night, but wanted to share the link with you. It's a dinosaur subtraction game where students subtract 2-2digit numbers and then whoever has the bigger number, colors in a space on the bone. Pretty fun and I will be using it with my second graders this week. :)

I live in Ohio and our weather is always a little crazy when it's transitioning from winter to spring, but I have to say, I am sick of the cold weather and the ups and downs in temps. Today I woke up to white out conditions (it's still snowing hard) and tomorrow it'll be in the 20's (and I have bus duty in the mornings so yay for me haha) but good news is that by Thursday we'll be in the high 50's (see what I mean about the craziness!) Well enjoy your Sunday and I'll be looking at warmer more consistent places to move. haha.

New Math Game

I know posting twice in one day is super bad  (not sure why though since we teachers have so many ideas! haha) But I couldn't resist until tomorrow, I wanted to share a newest creation I just made with you. It's a subtraction game that would be good for first or early second grade. It's like tic-tac-toe and has a forest animal theme. Come check it out! :) Thanks and let me know what you think!
