Letters From Santa! and a Freebie!

Hey everyone! I am still in shock and sadness over the events of this weekend, but we opted not to even discuss it with our kiddos. They came in bright and cheery today and I was grateful for their little hugs and smiles. :)

Last week, my co-teacher and I had them write letters to Santa then we "delivered" them and on Friday, they got a package via our little elf Toby with letters addressed to each child! Boy we're they squealing with delight!

Also, we put together our goodie bags to give out on Thursday. We have a half day that day which is wonderful! I am so ready to hit the road back to Ohio and for a whole week this time, not just a few days! :)
I printed up the tags via A Modern Teacher :) So adorable!
Finally, I created a rhyming pocket chart center for our stations this week. It's a skill that often get over looked for us, but it's nice to review once in a while. Click on the pic to snag a copy! :)

I hope everyone has a good week. I'm sure this is the last week of school for break for many of you so hope it's filled with fun and laughter. :)

  1. I love your rhyming activity. Thanks for making it and sharing it with us. My 2nd graders also write to Santa. But they are actually answered by some high school students in a Marriage and Parenting class. Then the teacher of that class sends the letters to our school and we pass them out to the students. . . they go biserk! Later that M & P teachers sends me the original Santa letters and I store them. When these 2nd graders become seniors, I mail them back to them. They are all so shocked that I kept them and they love seeing how they wrote, and what they said in their letters! It's a great fun activity!
