Almost there!!

Hi teacher friends!

Hope everyone had a good weekend. Mine went too fast (as always) and now I'm sitting here about to make a cup of tea and checking over the blogs. I haven't had a lot of time to stalk lately and I miss it! haha. I am so happy to see I'm at 91 followers. It's so encouraging and amazing to have so many people read and respond to my blog in just a few short months. I'm planning a surprise giveaway once I reach 100. (squeal) :D

I wanted to share with you this really cool flower I plan on making for the centerpieces at my wedding. I've realized silk flowers are so expensive and fresh even more so, so to offset the cost I'm going to put in tissue paper ones and coffee filter roses (along with silk) I've been getting better at making the roses and I think this one is my best yet!
Sorry for it being blurry (I'm asking for a new camera for my birthday). I'm really trying to be a crafty bride since our budget isn't a whole lot, but I've found it's kinda more fun to make things yourself and you get a sense of pride at being able to show them off. Plus I've got the time (18 mos to go!) So why not make my own stuff?! :)

Hmm..the only other thing to add tonight is that I know it's getting down to the wire with contracts for next year and I've read a couple fellow teachers not getting theirs renewed and with mine being so in the air, it just makes my heart hurt and want to cry. I vote we all give each other virtual hugs and encouragement the next few months for renewed contracts or new positions. Keeping positive and always praying...have a good night!

  2. HI Sarah,

Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog. I am definitely sending a hug your way as well. There is nothing more difficult than the uncertainty, especially when your heart is in for all the right reasons. I have been where you if ever need anything. And I see that about your cyst. I hope you will start to feel better soon so you can heal. Chin up. :) Sydney
