St. Patrick's Week

Hey Friends!
I wanted to stop by to share our leprechaun traps from last week. I make this a family project (we do one a month) and the kids were so excited to put these together in hopes of catching a little leprechaun!

I thought they came out so great!!
Then of course each student had a chance to explain to the class how he/she was going to trap it!
Unfortunately, no one caught one, but the leprechaun did leave our class messy and also gave each person a St. Paddy's pencil in their trap! ;)

On a non-teaching note...my belly seems to be growing each day! I am SO excited for this little one and can't wait until the beginning of May when we get to find out the sex!! It will also be my husband's birthday so he is going to get one awesome present! (he's hoping for a boy!)

Here is me at 12 weeks!!
I've been blessed with a very easy pregnancy so far! No morning sickness excpet for maybe 1-2 days. :) The little one is expected to arrive September 25th! We can't wait!!

It also occurred to me I've only got 2 more weeks until spring break! Wahoo! I feel like our break is late this year, but at least the weather should be really nice. It's been turning around lately...today it's in the low 60's and we are not expected to drop lower than 54 this week. All our trees are starting to get tiny little buds! I love spring!
Well I hope you have a great rest of your weekend, and wonderful week at school!

New St. Patrick's Day Product

Hello friends!
Whew...what a weekend! On Friday, we didn't have school because it was sleeting and central NC got about 1/2" of ice. Trees were down all weekend and our power was out from Friday afternoon through Saturday night. Unfortunately, there are still many people still without power. :( What a storm. I hope this is the last of winter. Ironically, it was 70 today and tomorrow and Tuesday, it's supposed to be in the 70's as well.

I just wanted to update you with a new product I put in my store. It's just in time for St. Paddy's Day. I have bundled 4 great literacy games for your kiddos to play for centers/workshops. Head over to my TPT store to check it out! :) Have a great rest of your Sunday night!

Luck o' the Irish to you!

Hey Friends! Happy St. Paddy's Day!

The little sis left today. :( Last week went way to fast! But luckily I'll get to see her and the rest of my family when I go up to visit for spring break in 2 weeks. Speaking of which, if you are on break this week...lucky you! I feel like we haven't had a break in forever and according to the calendar next year, it won't come until the middle of April. Yikes! That is just too long.

So anyway, I got caught up for the week on Friday, so this weekend we went to Greenville, SC and then today I have to do laundry and work out. I get my first dress fitting in 2 weeks and I slacked a little last week, so it's back to the grindstone double these next couple weeks!

I made this quick freebie for centers and thought I'd upload it incase you want to use it. We have a poetry station and sometimes, the kids get a little tired copying the poem of the week for their folders, so this time, I typed it up and they have to follow the directions at the top, then color it. If you'd like to use it as well, feel free to click the pic!

Ok, that's it for today! Have a relaxing Sunday and enjoy the holiday! :)

St. Paddy's Day Fun (giveaway)

Hey friends! Where has the weekend gone?! Ugh, it's Sunday morning already! I have lots to do today, but I wanted to share with you my newest upload to my TN store. I created 4 st. paddy's centers I'll be using next week. They cover word work, write the room, math and pocket chart.

I've been thinking about adding a sight word station to my center rotation. Do any of you do a sight word center? If you do, what resources do you use and how do you set it up?

The above centers are at my store now for $4.00. I'm giving you a chance to win the packet! Since the holiday is on the 17th, the 1st and 7th bloggers to comment will score it free! Good Luck and let's hope today goes slow as molasses! :)
