Five for Friday!

Whew I haven't particiated in one of these in forever, but I have a few minutes before we go out so I wanted to share with you my week (it was a busy one!)
 fiveforfriday2

This is the second full week of literacy stations and the kids are doing very well. I am proud of them for working independently in groups and staying on task (most of the time!)
they like to read wherever for read to self

we practiced our sight word "the"
they love playing games when they are done with their morning work!
We have an all school reward program that focuses on the moral of the month. If kids are exhibiting it, they may get a Bronco Buck or green ticket that they can cash in at different times throughout the year. I didn't want the kiddos to lose them, so I put their names on library pockets and now when they earn one, they know where to go! I love how organized they will stay now. ;)

We ended the week with a school dedication assembly since the school is a brand new charter school that opened. The streamers were a surprise to the kids from the teachers...they had no idea and it was so fun to see how excited they got! :)

Ok, well we're supposed to go to the fair tonight and hopefully the rain holds out because I've been thinking about greasy fries and funnel cakes all week! Then we're headed to Greenville, SC tomorrow to see my fiance's sister and spend the night at her house. A busy weekend to match the busy week! haha Have a good night!!

  1. I love the little one doing read to self. Have a great time at the fair. We are off to a birthday party at MacDonalds and I am thinking a Vanilla shake might hit the spot (with a cheeseburger of course)
